Replying to reviews

Engaging with your customers through reviews is an important way to start a conversation. You can express gratitude for positive feedback or address concerns raised in negative reviews. After resolving any issues, consider asking customers for an updated review.

Public review reply

To reply to a review publicly, follow these steps:

  1. Access the Judge.me admin panel.

  2. Go to Manage Reviews > Reviews Dashboard.

  3. Select the review you wish to respond to.

  4. Click the reply icon and choose Reply publicly

  5. Your response will appear in the Review Widget on your product page.

We can also inform the reviewer about your response via email. Customize and enable this email notification under Collect reviews > Reviewer Notifications > Reply notification email.


For other platforms

  1. Go to Reviews > Reviews Dashboard.

  2. Select the review you wish to respond to.

  3. Click the reply icon and choose Public Reply (widget).

To customize and enable email notification, go to Settings > Other Emails > Reply to Review Email.


Private email reply

To reply to the review via email, do the following:

  1. Access the Judge.me admin panel.

  2. Go to Manage Reviews > Reviews Dashboard.

  3. Pick the review you want to respond to.

  4. Click the reply icon and select Reply privately via email


For other platforms

  1. Go to Reviews > Reviews Dashboard.

  2. Pick the review you want to respond to.

  3. Click the reply icon and select Private Reply (email).


Reply to review with AI tool

Available on the Awesome plan

With our new AI tool, you can instantly generate replies by clicking the "Generate reply with AI" button. You can choose your preferred tone of voice (simple, friendly, elegant, supportive), and include additional instructions for what should be included in the reply (e.g. give info about return policy).
