There are several ways how reviews can be verified:
Reviews are marked as verified if submitted by customers with real orders. Automatic verification is done by checking list of orders directly from e-commerce platform. Online businesses cannot influence the verification process.
Imported reviews are verified if online businesses have provided order history to prove the reviewer had made a purchase. Verification can be done automatically by accessing list of orders directly from e-commerce platforms or manually based on the proof of order history provided by stores.
Note, online businesses have the option to translate the verified badge or modify it's wording on their pages, but they are not permitted to add the badge themselves.
