To help you achieve the maximum results, we need permission to access and take specific actions on your Shopify store.
Since Shopify doesn't allow us to accept permissions step-by-step, we ask for all permissions during the installation process. We are approved by Shopify for those permissions that require review and verification. You can find Shopify's general information about app permissions here.
Here is the list of all permissions we require:
View Shopify account data | Judge.me Product Reviews will be able to access data such as your Shopify account email addresses, phone numbers, and locations.
We use this information for example for communicating with you. |
Manage products | This includes products and collections.
We use this information for example for our review request or more advanced features such as product groups, product group automation, store groups (), or the Google Product Reviews XML feed. |
View orders | This includes all order details for all time.
Judge.me Product Reviews will be able to access data such as customer names, e-mail addresses, phone numbers, physical addresses, geolocations, IP addresses, and browser user agents. We use this information for example for scheduling review requests for your buyers or verify that a reviewer is actually a buyer ('Verified Buyer Badge').
Shopify has reviewed Judge.me Product Reviews and verified that it needs access to all past and future orders to provide value to you. We need this permission to verify your reviews and send review requests to your former buyers. |
View customers | This includes customer data.
Judge.me Product Reviews will be able to access data such as customer names, e-mail addresses, phone numbers, and physical addresses.
We use this information for example for emailing customers on your behalf for review requests, adjust the timing of review requests based on your buyer's location, or add the reviewers' approximate location to the Review Widget. |
Manage marketing | This includes marketing events.
We use this information to improve our Judge.me Reports (Shopify's Marketing Events API) |
Manage your online store | This includes pages on your Online Store, script tags in your Online Store, and theme.
Judge.me Product Reviews will be able to access data such as blog commenter e-mail addresses, IP addresses, and browser user agents.
We use this information for example to position our widget inside your theme based on your preferences or install the Reviews Page for you. |
Manage other data | This includes price rules.
We use this permission so that we will be able to create discount codes for you for our review incentives. |
