Welcome to the installation guide for the Judge.me app on Shopify. This straightforward process will only take approximately 5 minutes of your time. Let's get started!
Step 1: Explore Judge.me
Begin by visiting the Judge.me demo store (password: demojudgeme) or check out our inspiring examples to see how fellow Judge.me users have customized their widgets.
If you require additional customizations beyond our in-app settings, our support team is available to assist with basic customization requests.
Step 2: Install the app
Go to the Judge.me homepage and click on "Install Now."
Then, select Shopify as your platform of choice.
Step 3: Connect your store
In the Shopify app store, click "Add app" and enter your Shopify store URL.
Afterward, click "Install app" to initiate the automatic installation process.
Step 4: Customize your settings
Choose between "Installation by Judge.me" (recommended) or "Installation by You" (for advanced users).
Select your preferred language for the admin dashboard. Our dashboard is available in three languages: English, French, and Spanish.
Step 5: Widget placement
Decide where you want to display your Review Widget and Star Ratings. You can opt to showcase them on the product page, collection page, or both.
The Review Widget collects and showcases product reviews on your online store, while the Star Ratings displays the number of product reviews and the aggregate rating on your product and/or collection page.
Step 6: Theme selection
Choose the theme on which you'd like to install your widgets. You can either install them on your live theme (default) or an unpublished theme.
This option helps prevent conflicts with your custom CSS. If you choose an unpublished theme, you can preview how the widgets will appear before publishing the theme.
Important Notes:
If you don't have an unpublished theme, please refer to the Shopify Help Center for guidance on adding themes.
Keep in mind that all setting changes and additional widget installations will affect the theme you select.
To allow the Judge.me theme concierge to install widgets on your live theme, go to Settings > Advanced > Advanced Settings > Judge.me Installation Theme.
Step 7: Preview and finalize
Take a moment to preview how everything looks within your chosen theme. If you're satisfied with the setup, select "Yes, Looks Great."
Otherwise, feel free to explore further customization options for your widgets.
