Did you know that Judge.me is available in 38 languages? You can choose your preferred language to ensure that your widgets and emails are more welcoming to local customers.
1. Translating Your Judge.me Widgets
Judge.me automatically detects your store's language and sets the default language for the widgets. If you wish to change the language, go to Settings > Review Request > Timing and Format > Language Info.
When you modify your language settings, all customer-facing text in Review Widget, Star Ratings, and more will be automatically translated into your chosen language using Judge.me's default translations. If you've translated your Shopify store into multiple languages, we can detect each translated store's locale and adjust your widgets' language accordingly.
Customize Your Widget Text
If you've customized any widget text, such as the Widget Header, our system will prioritize your text over Judge.me's default translations. Text customization is available in our Awesome plan ($15/month).
Use Translation Apps
You can also translate your widgets using Weglot. We are integrated with Weglot for automatic translations, but you can still review and add your own versions. Please note that we do not have an official integration with Langify, but it may work in most cases with some tips provided.
2. Translating Your Email Templates
Changing your app's default language in Language Info not only translates your widgets but also your default email templates into your preferred language. This feature is available on your Forever Free plan.
For example, if your app's default language is Japanese, your customers will receive Japanese emails.
Customize Your Email Text
You can customize all text in the default email templates on the Forever Free plan, allowing you to input your preferred translations. Your customized translations will take precedence over Judge.me's default translations. If you are on the Awesome plan, you can create custom email templates with a drag-and-drop editor and freely customize your text as well.
Send Review Request Emails in Multiple Languages
With our Awesome plan, you can send review request emails in multiple languages using Multiple Language Emails in custom email templates. Shopify will track the customer_locale of fulfilled orders and send the appropriate emails.
For example, if your customers purchased products from your French store, they will receive French emails; if they purchased from your Italian store, they will receive Italian emails.
3. Translating Your Admin Dashboard
The Judge.me admin dashboard is available in five languages: English, French, Spanish, Italian, Portuguese, and German. To change your admin language:
Go to Settings > Advanced > Advanced Settings > Admin Language.
Choose your preferred language from the drop-down menu.
Click Save Settings.
4. Spotted a Translation Error in Our Default Translations?
If you come across a translation error in our default translations, feel free to contact our support team. Please provide details about which word or phrase is incorrect and what the correct translation should be. Additionally, a brief explanation of why the translation is inaccurate would be greatly appreciated.
For example, if you believe that "review" should be translated to "avis" in French rather than "critique," please let us know. Your feedback helps us improve our default translations.
