At Judge.me, we've made it simple to share your reviews and star ratings between our platform and the Shopify's Shop app.
This integration streamlines the process, helping you boost conversions and revenue by showcasing valuable social proof on this mobile-first channel. Plus, you won't have to start from scratch; your existing reviews and ratings can be leveraged on Shop.
Syncing reviews from Judge.me to Shop
When you install the Judge.me, you grant the following permission scopes to enable review syndication to Shopify: write_product_reviews and read_product_reviews.
Reviews published on Judge.me that align with Shop’s review policies will automatically populate your Shop product pages. All reviews are sent as review metaobjects, and those associated with specific customer orders, including customers and products, will be added to your Shop app.
Please note that raw review content is transmitted to Shopify as metaobjects without any censorship for personal identifiable information (PII) or profanity. Shop will moderate these reviews based on their product review policy before publishing them in the Shop app.
If you decide to uninstall Judge.me, new reviews won't be syndicated to Shopify as metaobjects. However, your existing Shop reviews will remain unchanged until you contact Shopify customer support for any adjustments.

Syncing reviews from Shop to Judge.me
Go Judge.me Reviews in the Apps section, then choose General Settings > Advance
Scroll down to find the Shop app syndication, choose Syndicate reviews collected via the Shop app to Judge.me.
Click Save.

From your Judge.me admin, go to Settings > Advanced > Review Syndication.
Enable Syndicate reviews collected via the Shop app to Judge.me.
Shop app reviews will be published and verified automatically on Judge.me.
You can display these reviews on your Judge.me widgets, including pinning them or featuring them in a carousel.
You can't unpublish, move, edit, or reply to these reviews from Judge.me. To reply to a Shop app review, you'll be redirected to the Shop channel.

Reviews collected via the Shop app will have the "Verified by Shop" badge when they appear on the Judge.me widget. This badge will replace the old "Collected via Shop app" text labels and is currently available in English. If you require support for other languages, please let us know.
Note:
Disabling syndication from the Shop app to Judge.me will stop displaying reviews on your storefront widgets (syndication of Judge.me reviews to Shop will still occur automatically).
When exporting your reviews from Judge.me, you'll notice a column called metaobject_handle in the export file. This column is added to prevent duplicates in Shopify metaobjects.
