Scheduling review requests after delivery

With our Delivery-Based Review Requests feature, you have the flexibility to schedule review requests for your orders after they have been marked as Delivered in your Shopify store. This convenient option streamlines your review request process and ensures timely communication with your customers.

Before you begin

Before using this feature, please note the following:

  • Availability: This feature is fully accessible on Shopify and functions when we receive delivery status updates from Shopify.

  • Supported Carriers: If you use carriers such as USPS, UPS, FedEx, Canada Post, or Sendle, you can easily include the tracking number and carrier information in your order details when fulfilling the order. These carriers will then directly update the delivery status.

  • Other Carriers: If you employ carriers other than those listed above, consider integrating a third-party shipping app that can update the delivery status on Shopify on your behalf. Some compatible apps include Trackiest, Shipway, ParcelPanel, Rush, Where's My Order?, and TrackingMore. Regardless of the method used to update the delivery status, please note that we can only receive this information from Shopify. If notifications are not transmitted to us, we won't be able to schedule your review requests.

Enabling delivery-based review requests

Follow these steps to enable Delivery-Based Review Requests in your admin:

  • From admin, go to Collect Reviews > Schedule and Reminders > Delivery-based requests.

  • Select Enable delivery-based requests and save settings.

For other platforms

  • Go to Settings > Integrations > Admin Backend > Delivery-Based Requests

  • Toggle the feature on and click Save Settings.

How it works

The process for Delivery-Based Review Requests is as follows:

  • When an order is marked as Delivered or if Delivery-Based Requests are deactivated, the order will be classified as Waiting for Delivery.

  • You can manually send these Waiting for Delivery requests individually or in bulk.

Manual request sending

To send a request manually, follow these steps:

  • Go to Collect Reviews > Request History.

  • Click the three-dot icon.

  • Choose Send request now to send the email immediately

For other platforms

  • In your admin, go to Requests Status and locate the request you wish to send

  • Click the three-dot icon.

  • Choose Send This Request Now to send the email immediately

  • Alternatively, select Mark order as delivered to schedule now to schedule the request based on your timing preferences.

Bulk request sending

To send review requests in bulk, use the following steps:

  • Go to Collect Reviews > Request History.

  • Select all requests or manually select the requests you'd like to send.

  • Click Send all requests.

For other platforms

In your admin, go to Requests Status.

  • Select the requests you want to send.

  • Click Schedule Waiting for Delivery Orders.


Please be aware of the following limitations:

  • Klaviyo Requests: This feature is currently incompatible with Klaviyo requests.

  • AfterShip Integration: If you have both AfterShip and Delivery-Based Requests enabled, AfterShip will be the exclusive scheduling option used.

  • Tracking via AfterShip: If AfterShip is enabled and encounters tracking issues, Delivery-Based Requests may not function as expected.
